United Nations Women
AGENDA:
“Legal Equity in Gender Rights: Addressing Discrimination and Systemic Barriers impacting the social and mental health”
The United Nations Women’s Committee will convene to address the critical issue of legal equity in gender rights, with a particular focus on the systemic barriers and discrimination that affect mental and social health. Delegates will examine a range of issues that contribute to gender inequality, including workplace discrimination, gender-based violence, and the cultural stigmas that perpetuate harmful gender norms. These discussions will explore how these factors negatively impact the mental well-being and social integration of individuals, especially women and marginalized gender groups, hindering their ability to fully participate in society and the economy.
The agenda aims to foster the creation of actionable policies that promote equal rights and ensure inclusive opportunities for all genders. Through comprehensive debates and collaborative dialogue, the committee seeks to establish concrete measures that can dismantle discriminatory practices, improve access to resources and opportunities, and create a healthier, more equitable environment for everyone. The ultimate goal is to develop policies that not only address the root causes of gender-based disparities but also foster a society where all individuals, regardless of gender, can thrive and contribute to a more just and inclusive world.
