It is my profound honour and singular privilege to extend to you a most gracious welcome to the eighth edition of the Scindia Model United Nations Conference (SCIMUN), to be convened within the august and historic precincts of The Scindia School, majestically situated upon the ramparts of Fort Gwalior. My name is Yash Nitharwal, and it is with immense pride that I serve as the Secretary-General of SCIMUN for this edition. Model United Nations has been a transformative journey for many of us who have had the privilege of engaging with it—not merely as a simulation, but as a crucible for leadership, articulation, critical thought, and ethical decision-making. The skills honed within committee rooms—reasoned argument, strategic negotiation, and principled compromise—extend far beyond conference halls, shaping individuals for academic excellence and responsible citizenship alike.

Each year, SCIMUN is enriched by the presence of delegates from diverse institutions and backgrounds, each bringing with them unique perspectives, experiences, and ideas.
